ZCN Type Suspended Center Drive Thickener
◎ Application
The ZCN type suspended center drive thickener is mainly used for thickening settled sludge in medium and small diameter thickeners of urban sewage treatment plants or industrial wastewater treatment projects. This equipment adopts the gravity thickening method to reduce sludge volume, thereby alleviating the treatment load of sludge dewatering and improving dewatering efficiency, serving as a pretreatment step for sludge dewatering operations.
◎ Structure and Working Principle
This equipment adopts center drive and suspended structure. Sewage flows into the draft tube from the inlet pipe under the working bridge, diffuses, and spreads evenly towards the periphery of the tank. The drive device rotates the central vertical shaft, driving the scraper arms and thickening bars to rotate. The collision of sludge with the bars accelerates the combination and sedimentation of sludge particles, enhancing sludge settling efficiency. The separated supernatant overflows into the effluent trough through the triangular weir plate and is discharged from the tank.
◎ Main Features
1. The working bridge adopts a full-bridge structure, which can be made of carbon steel, stainless steel, or concrete;
2. The drive device uses a vertical three-stage cycloidal pinwheel reducer or a combination of helical gear reducer and worm gear reducer to ensure output torque and speed;
3. The thickening bars are arranged at equal intervals on the scraper arms to enhance thickening efficiency;
4. The lower end of the vertical shaft of the scraper is equipped with an underwater bearing and scraper blade to prevent deflection during shaft rotation and sludge accumulation in the sludge collection trough;
5. Equipped with mechanical and electrical dual overload protection for safe and reliable operation;
6. The equipment is easy to operate and can be controlled locally or remotely.
